Learn about some of the best places to visit when traveling to this hyper and tranquil beach town. I've got you covered with food, fun and relaxation.

Food

Myrtle Beach has a sand bucket full of places that you have to check out while visiting. We all love food, and who doesn't love food on vacation too. Since I was a kid I've been traveling to Myrtle Beach with my family every few years and sometimes for years in succession. My family and I love to eat out because it allows us to spend some good quality time with each other. Food and Myrtle Beach together means fun times and satisfied stomachs.

The first place that is a noteworthy and delicious stop is Pizza A La Roma. It's a cute little Italian family pizza restaurant that serves your traditional Italian dishes from pizza and spaghetti to hoagies and lasagna.

The dishes are served piping hot with delicious family specific sauce bound to make your taste buds go crazy. The restaurant offers a quaint, small and intimate atmosphere and gives you the opportunity to connect with the employees and the old art that goes beyond just cooking.

Another place that I would suggest checking out would be Fiesta Mexicana. This Mexican restaurant serves delicious standard dishes like juicy and customizable chimichangas and exotic dishes like Piña Rellena, which is a stuffed pineapple with shrimp and chicken. There is something on the menu for all kinds of food lovers!

Definitely dine in as well because the inside is gorgeous. Colorful walls and chairs enhance your experience and will have you thinking about coming back for seconds on your trip. I know I did!

A third place that I'll recommend to you is The Strand breakfast. This hotel breakfast isn't cheap but it's worth your pennies. If you aren't a guest you can still go in and pay to eat at the hotel. The smell of Belgian waffles, sausages and eggs fill the air and will entice you to stroll past the lobby for a casual morning breakfast.

The staff and cooks are amazing and will put a smile on your face the moment you walk through the door. The Strand breakfast is a great way to start your day because it'll put you in a positive mindset while also having the opportunity to satisfy your stomach. I love the beach view you get while eating too. The clear glass allows you to look out at the ocean and ponder where the day will take you.

Fun Times and Relaxing Vibes

Whether you're at Myrtle Beach to relax or go crazy, there's definitely something for everyone here. I usually like to relax on the beach more, but I also enjoy the fun activities the town has to offer. It's important to create a balance on vacation. Make sure you're relaxing but also taking advantage of the opportunities that are presented to you on your trip!

One fun thing to do while at Myrtle Beach is the Skywheel. Whether you're with your family, friends or significant other, the Skywheel really is a fun and exhilarating activity for everyone.

The Skywheel is about $20 per person. You'll get roughly a 15-20 minute ride and get a beautiful view of the beach and the city at the same time. I know I found this to be a cool activity as a kid, and even as an adult now I appreciate the experience even more. There's nothing like experiencing a fantastic view in the sky.

Another fun place to go to is Captain Hook's Adventure Golf. There's a lot of mini golf places at Myrtle Beach, but none quite like this one. The price is relatively cheap and it's an underrated mini golf place because of all the new ones being built the last few years.

It's usually not very crowded in the late mornings and early afternoons. Even in the late evening time the course isn't very populated. Usually 9am-12pm and 8-9pm are the best times to go. I went a lot as a kid and loved the giant skull head that you get to put into. The course is very enthralling and offers many fun opportunities to defeat Captain Hook with your putt-putt game!

Make time to visit the Myrtle Beach State Park as well. This park offers fun roads and trails to explore. The beach is very well kept and noticeably more peaceful than the hotel strip portion. I love going here to walk around and free my mind while I watch the sun set.

The state park gives you a different side of Myrtle Beach than you'd be used to when driving down the main strip. Visiting the state park is a great way to explore the tropical and unique nature that is present in the town.

While at Myrtle Beach, it's important to have an open mind while enjoying the new and fruitful experiences you decide to partake in. Having a good balance of fun activities and downtime on the beach will definitely make your vacation complete.

Myrtle Beach is bound to be one of your best friends after you visit. I cherish every memory that I've made here and have always had a blast. I hope you do too.
