About Me
My name is Alex Prough. I'm a Junior at Miami University in Oxford Ohio. I'm a double major specializing in Strategic Communication and Spanish. Oxford is my hometown but I grew up in Hamilton. I work at a barbecue joint called Rib City as a cook. I also do freelance work for Remax Alpha and stage houses in Oxford.
In the future I'd like to write for an organization or work in a management position. My double major and college classes have allowed me to develop excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills. My hobbies outside school consist of traveling, playing tennis and soccer. When I travel I love to take photos of the places I visit because it gives me a unique perspective of the world I live in.
I also love to eat food and travel to my favorite restaurants around Oxford, Hamilton and Cincinnati. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I value building relationships with people because it creates bonds that can last a lifetime.

These are pictures of places I have traveled to. Gatlinburg Tennessee to the right and Anna Maria Island on the far right. These places are a part of who I am and how I act as a person. The tranquil and exciting atmospheres of each photo contribute to my love for experiencing new places and meeting new people.
I value travel because I believe it can open up the creative and intuitive side of your personality.
It's important to divulge yourself in different environments because you often realize that many things are bigger than just yourself in this life. Photos help reinforce this belief and create lasting and impactful memories at the same time.
Passions
I have many passions outside of school and travel. A few of the noteworthy ones would be tennis, soccer and speaking and reading Spanish. All three of these things really have shaped me into the person I have become today. I have become a hard working and dedicated person who loves to work through challenges both mentally and physically.
From training my brain how to adopt Spanish as my second language and strategically planning how to conquer opponents on the tennis court, I have learned the true definition of hard work.
I have what it takes to work through new and familiar obstacles that come my way. I believe my love for the Spanish language and dedication to soccer and tennis has cemented my work ethic in order for me to apply it in the future towards anything that I do.
Family and Friends
I love to spend time with my friends and family because it gives me new outlooks on life in general. When I'm having a hard time these people and many more are always there to back me up and provide me with support, love and care. They always have my back and in turn I have theirs.
I love supporting my friends and family. Relationships are important because you never truly know how someone feels. This is why I do my very best to provide them with consistent support and love. I feel bonded to my friends and family in so many ways because of all the fun experiences we share.
It's important to stay close to those that you love because when times get tough, you'll always have a friend by your side for support.
I want to be my best self for these people. Each person always pushes me to affirm my strengths and work on my weaknesses. You can always learn something from people you don't know and even those that you do.
